Luck is a Modifier that can be added to tools and weapons, giving the same effects as the Vanilla enchantments Fortune and Looting, and is applicable in the same manner e.g. Fortune on tools and Looting on weapons. This modifier can be added to tools and weapons by adding Lapis Lazuli in a Tool Station or Tool Forge. Due to the nature of the modifier it is incompatible with the Silky (Silk Touch) modifier. This modifier can only be applied once per tool/weapon.
The level of 'luck' depends on how much Lapis is added to the tool. When 100 Lapis has been added, the tool or weapon will have Fortune/Looting I. At 300 the tool/weapon will have Fortune/Looting II, and at the maximum of 450 lapis the tool/weapon will have Fortune/Looting III. (These numbers are the maximum number of Lapis required before the modifier is applied, however there is a chance for the modifier to be applied before this number is reached)
Given the large amount of lapis required, it is much easier to add 50 Lapis blocks in the tool forge instead of nearly 7 stacks of Lapis gems.
